Wide Open Beavers
Posted by erin at January 8, 2003 11:37 AMSo today I'm in the gyncologist office, and I notice that in the examination room there's this tasteful nature poster of an otter.
But at first, I'm looking at the otter, and I'm thinking, "There's a picture of a beaver in here?"
So the question of the day is: Would you go to a gynocologist that put up photos of beavers on the walls?

My last regular gynocologist had Georgia O'Keefe prints all over the walls. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than beavers.
Having been uninsured for a bit, I last went to a free Women's Clinic, and they were too poor to afford shit for their walls. Instead, they had educational pamphlets and posters all over. I think I like that best. Also, that was my most pleasant gynocological expereince ever. I actually felt like a human being and like I was treated with respect. Sometimes with the normal gynocologists I felt a little too much like an experimental animal. There's such a thing as too much proffesional detachment.
