Pumpkin Update! Competition = Fierce

So here at work they're having the annual pumpkin carving contest. I carved, then painted, a pumpkin in a pretty good Murakami tribute (like those cookies I made). I thought, foolishly, I might stand a chance at winning a prize (the grand prize is a $50 gilft certificate to Tower Records).

But I am a fool! The competition is fierce! One of the P.A.'s carved a pumpkin that's eating other, smaller pumpkins! Alison carved a pumpkin to look like the KND treehouse! She stayed up all night! One guy used a mider (sp?) saw to carve a globe! One guy built enormous demon wings on his pumpkin and put dishes of free candy in front of it!
